Tennis has social and psychological benefits and is a great way to help maintaining health, fitness, strength and agility at any age. Tennis can be played with friends and family as a social activity. 

 

Tennis is a great sport for active kids. If you have kids that are interested in playing tennis it can be helpful to find a local tennis coach to help teach the rules of the game and help them hone their tennis skills.

Tennis keeps kids moving at a high energy level for an extended period of time in a fun way. It's great for strengthening the heart. 

 

Hand Eye coordination

 

 

 

Tennis is a great to sport to help improve hand eye coordination. It encompasses quick reaction times, making contract with the ball using both fine motor skills and gross motor skils. 

 

 

Gross Motor Skills and Fine Motor Skills

 

Tennis incorporates both gross and fine motor skills. Gross motor skill development involves the large muscles in the arms, legs and torso. Fine motor skills involove the coordination of small muscles in movement with the eyes, hands and fingers.

 

Agility and Balance

 

In tennis kids learn to react and move quickly. This strengthens physical and metal agility as well as improves balance.

 

 

Fun

 

Tennis is an engageging sport where kids can learn good sportmanship and have fun. 

 

 Tip: Make sure to have enough liquids and stay hydrated in the florida heat.
